John Boshoven's book College Admissions: From Chaos to Control,A Guide for Students and Families for Solving the College Admissions Puzzle was co-authored with local author and psychologist Dr. Geraldine Markel and Essay Coach/Teacher, Debbie Merion. This guide helps families understand the admissions process, deal with the college admissions essay and preparing for the pesky standardized tests.
John is the counselor for Continuing Education at Community High School in Ann Arbor and College Counseling Consultant at the Frankel Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit in West Bloomfield. He is a Director for the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), headquartered in Virginia which represents over 20,000 secondary school college counselors and college admissions professionals. John has served as President of the Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC) and Past President of the Washtenaw Counseling Association. Through his school affiliations and in his private college counseling practice, he has helped hundreds of students and families with the college selection, application and financial aid process.
