The ACT
All High School Juniors must take the ACT exam on March 9. 2010. Scores from this exam will become a part of each student’s transcript.
ACT SUCCESS covers all five sections on the ACT: English, Math, Reading, Science Reasoning, and Writing. Students learn the rules, strategies, and test taking skills needed to be successful.
Our teaching methods are effective because they motivate students to do their best. Students use real ACT’s, as well as numerous skill builders to further enhance their test- taking abilities.
Students will be assigned weekly homework, usually consisting of taking a practice exam. All practice exams must be completed by the following week.
Effective Reading Skills are essential to complete the entire exam. Each student is given an individual reading technique and pacing strategy for success.
Critical Thinking Skills are also paramount in order to score well. Each section requires different types of thinking skills. The students will be taught the appropriate skills to apply in order to score well.
Test-Taking Skills also help reduce the anxiety many students experience on test day. Students will learn hints, techniques, and strategies that will enhance their confidence in their test-taking ability.
The Results:
95% of our test prep students have increased their ACT scores! After completing our test preparation, many students earn scholarship money based on their higher ACT scores
