Adam and I took Sue Bareis's Swing/Foxtrot class, as friends, last spring... well, during the class, we started liking each other.  (OK, fine I might have had a huge crush on him since Christmas of that year, hahah!!)  He asked me out and things were going great and getting better every day over the next six months... 

One night, last February (2009), he mentioned wanting to go dancing again and thought we could pop-in on one of Sue's classes for the evening.  I thought that sounded great, so we went out to dinner and headed over to the school where we had our first "dates". 

When we arrived there were lots of cars, but no students, only Sue was in the gym... very odd!  She said her 8pm class was cancelled, and she was just leaving.  Adam asked, "Well, since we're already here (and wearing our funny matching dance outfits) do you think we could we dance for a little bit?"  She said, "Of course," and showed us some more Foxtrot moves.

Well, partway through the second song she "conveniently" excused herself.  We continued dancing, and we kept messing up this one move (I could tell he was getting a little nervous.),  until Adam actually stumbled and fell to the ground!!  I knew he was just joking around and I started laughing and went to help him get up, but he only got up as far as one knee.

He proceeded to tell me how much he loved me.. and honestly I don't remember everything he said.. it was a big wonderful blur!!  :)  I do remember that he reached into his pocket and pulled out the most beautiful ring (that he picked out himself, I might add!) and asked me to marry him!    OF COURSE I said YES!!!!! :)    

Then Sue came back and I found out she knew all along about this scheme!  :)  She took pictures while we reenacted the proposal... it was so sweet of her!  We had such a great time in her class last spring and I was so glad to have her be a part of our big day!  It's a memory I'll never forget!  :)
