 Team Sports Refund Policy

A. Sponsor Fee: A refund request form must be completed and submitted to Rec & Ed. Please include the following information: sport, league name, team name, coach's name, address, and phone number, as well as the refund recipient's name and complete address.

  1. Sponsor fee refund request submitted to Rec & Ed more than 14 days before your League's first scheduled game will be subject to a $10 service fee.
  2. Sponsor fee refund requests submitted to Rec & Ed within 14-7 days of your League's first scheduled game will be subject to a 50% service fee.
  3. Sponsor fee refund submitted to Rec & Ed less than 7 full calendar days before your League's first scheduled game will be denied. Teams will forfeit the entire sponsor fee.

B. Player Fee:  Refund requests submitted at any time before your team's first schedled game are subject to a $10 service fee (Ann Arbor Public School Policy).

C. No fees, player or sponsor, will be refunded after your team's first scheduled game.

Rec & Ed Classes and Activities
Please let us know as soon as possible if you do not plan to participate in a class or activity so that we can contact someone on the wait list You are entitled to a full refund as a credit on your Rec & Ed account if

  • you let us know at least three days prior to the start of the first day of the class or activity and
  • you submit your request in writing by mail to REC & ED Refund Request, 1515 S. Seventh St,. Ann Arbor, MI 48103 or e-mail to refunds@aaps.k12.mi.us

Refund requests received less than three days prior to the first day of class will only be approved for extraordinary circumstances and will be charged a $10 cancellation fee.

Refunds will be paid in full as when classes/activities are cancelled by Rec & Ed. If a class or activity is cancelled due to weather, mechanical failure, or other unexpected problems, an effort will be made to schedule a make-up session. If it is not possible to provide a make-up time, no partial refunds will be given. There is no refund, credit or reduction of fees for classes/activities missed by a student.

Camps
Written requests for full refunds for camp programs must be made in writing, by fax, by email, or in person at the Rec & Ed office according to the schedule in the chart below. Credit to your Rec & Ed account will be made for the full amount of the refund, minus the $25 administrative fee, if the guidelines are met.
