Alien Art    Week 6
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Imagine extraterrestrial beings, design 3D sculpture and visit the planets of the solar system.

Arbortown Trees*    Week 4
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Get to know some of our oldest neighbors! Look at how trees live, and all the creatures that depend on them. Staffed by AAPS Naturalist John Stahly.
*In Arbortown Trees campers will be in close proximity to tree nuts.

Art Around the World    Week 5
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Try painting, drawing, collage, and 3-D art in lots of fun projects
designed to encourage creativity and personal expression

Art Fit    Week 4
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Swing into art! Make 3-D projects, paint, and draw while exploring your favorite sports and sports from other countries.

Asian Folk Dance    Week 5 (Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Explore Asian arts, culture, and music using fun props. Experience traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese music

Backyard Art    Week 7
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Make a variety of things that can be useful and beautiful in your own yard.

Backyard Games    Week 7
(Grades 1 – 2) Play a wide variety of playground, field, and gym games, some which are childhood favorites.

Basketball    Week 8
(Grades 1-5) Learn or improve basketball skills through fun, team-building drills and games.

Beaded Bugs     Week 7
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Use beads to make bugs and insects or whatever you choose!

Beaded Critters    Week 1
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Create bead key chains, pendants, and magnets that look like animals and insects. New Creations!

Big Backyard    Week 7
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5)  Be amazed by the plants and animals that can be found in your backyard.  You will explore, draw, and learn how they move, grow and survive. Offered in cooperation with AA Hands On Museum.

Birds of a Feather    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Seek out local birds and learn their names! How many can you spot? Listen for songs and look for other signs of birds, too. Staffed by AAPS Naturalist John Stahly.

Boomerangs/Flying Toys    Week 5
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5)  Make and fly your own boomerangs, whirlybirds and toy parachutes. Explore the physics of flight. Offered in cooperation with AA Hands On Museum.

Brain Games    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Challenge and develop your brain while having fun playing games.

Breakdancing    Week 8
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) In a friendly, fun environment learn the basic feet and hand movements of break dance.

Celtic Adventure    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Be thrilled with Celtic stories, create wee art projects, paint your own shield, draw knotwork, and dance a jig.

Celtic Cooking*    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5)  Learn about the simple foods of the British Isles, taste various honeys, make your own butter and sample scones.

Chinese Language & Culture    Week 5 (Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Explore Mandarin Chinese language and culture through songs, finger play, stories, dance, crafts, and outdoor games.

Clay Creations    Week 8
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5)  Explore the exciting world of clay!  Learn how to build your own artwork.

Cooking Concoctions*    Week 6
(Grades 1–2 and 3–5) Create and eat fun and easy snacks! These tasty snacks will be out of this world! New Recipes!

Flag Football    Weeks 4, 7
(Grades 1-5 Wk 4 and 3-5 Wk 7) Enjoy a great game of flag football; learn passing, catching and game play.

Fabulous Fungi    Week 6
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5)  Get out and discover the amazing world of the fungi – part of nature’s clean-up crew. Staffed by AAPS Naturalist John Stahly.

Golf    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Experience the fun of golf shots including chipping, putting, pitch, shot and full swing.

Gymnastics    Week 2
(Grades 3-5) Get individualized instruction in a group setting, includes floor exercises/ tumbling, balance beam and wedge mat.

Insect Inquiry    Week 5
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Take a close look at the wild world of insects, and have fun with “catch and release” collecting. Staffed by AAPS Naturalist John Stahly.

It’s a Frog’s Life    Week 7
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Find frogs and toads in the neighborhood and learn their life cycles. Get a close-up look at some examples in the classroom. Staffed by AAPS Naturalist John Stahly.

Magic    Week 2
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Learn magic and be mystified by a performance with Magician Jeff.

My Powerful Body    Week 4
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Flex your brains to learn about muscles and bones. Find out how they work to help us participate in our favorite activities. Offered in cooperation with AA Hands On Museum.

Nautical Art    Week 1
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Create art from the sea! Use many materials to build sea art such as ships, treasure and ocean creatures.

Outer World    Week 6
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Leave our planet to explore our solar system and beyond.  Offered in cooperation with AA Hands On Museum.

Pirate Adventure    Week 1
(Grades 1-3) Ahoy Maties!!!  Discover the world of pirates, as you create treasure maps and chests, dance the Sailor’s Hornpipe, play pirate games, and learn pirate trivia.

Playground Games    Weeks 1, 4, 6, 8
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Play a wide variety of playground, field, and gym games that will keep you moving while having fun with friends.

“Power” Munchies*    Week 4
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Find out what foods keep you energized. Create and eat delicious and healthy snacks.

Quick Start Tennis    Week 4
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Fun and easy introduction to tennis. Smaller court size gets you playing right away.

Rhythm Jumping    Week 2
(Grades 3–5) Single and Double Dutch jump roping, plus bamboo stick rhythm dancing - tininkling.

Scooters & More    Week 2
(Grades 1-2) Have fun and develop coordination using scooters, balance toys, and jump toys. Music and dance enhance the experience.

Sidewalk Art & More    Week 8
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Have fun in the sun creating amazing sidewalk art and other outdoor arts and crafts.

Soapstone Carving with Max    Week 1
(Grades 3-5) Carve a loon, Inukshuk, bear, dolphins, whale tail, or fish, plus make a small totem necklace or good luck stone from soapstone. Staffed by Canadian Soapstone Artist Max Sexsmith.

Soccer    Weeks 3, 5
(Grades 1–5) Develop the fundamentals of soccer with fun drills and games.

Tumbling/Gymnastics    Week 2
(Grades 1-2) Get individualized instruction in a group setting, includes floor exercises/ tumbling, balance beam and wedge mat. Offered in cooperation with Tumble Tots Gymnastics.

World Flags    Week 5
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Create colorful flags from many countries while finding out about their history and culture.

World Tour    Week 3
(Grades 1-2 and 3-5) Take a tour around the world... in one week! Learn about diverse cultures past and present, crafts, games, dances and a bit of language from far away lands. Offered in cooperation with AA Hands On Museum.
