Jazz Band Camp

This week long camp covers the basics of jazz performance, including improvisation, ensemble playing, chart reading and chord study. Students must be able to read music for their instrument and have basic skills.
Activities include band rehearsal, small group instruction, focused listening to recordings and viewing live jazz performances. Instructors include notable musicians such as Paul Vorhagen and Dave Sharp.
This camp is perfect for any student who wants to prepare for a middle school or high school jazz band. Instruments: Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Bass, Guitar, Drums, Piano/Keyboard.
Students provide own lunch, snack, H2o bottle and beverage. Monday - Friday
