| Pure Dance Camp |

Please join Artistic Director Gina Danene Thompson and Pure Dance Ensemble for this summer's rockin', hip hoppin', pop lockin' 5 day camps are for kids, teens, and adults!
Camp participants will have the chance to explore Jazz, Hip Hop, and floor work, plus learn traditional dance vocabulary. Dancers will have the opportunity to polish new cutting edge choreography, tricks, jumps, footwork and turns, including two full dances choreographed by Gina Thompson.
Kid's camp is ideal for young active kids who are interested in blending various dance styles.
Teen to adult camp is perfect for figure skaters, gymnasts, musical theater, competition dance, and cheerleading teams. Teams, full casts, coaches, and or team captains are welcome.
Directed by Gina Danene Thompson and staffed by the Pure Dance Ensemble.

Calling all b-boys and b-girls! Do you want to learn breaking? Do you want to add cool steps to your hip hop routine? Popular instructor Maurice Archer makes it fun and easy for you to jump in. Celebrated choreographer Gina Danene Thompson teaches you high energy hip hop dances. Improve your flexibility and coordination in this fast paced camp. Get updated on all the trends and be the envy of your friends.

| Gina Danene Thompson received her dance certificate from San Francisco City College. Her techniques include Graham and Horton based Modern Afro Haitian classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and street funk. She has been the Artistic Director of Project Universal Reflection (Pure) Dance ensemble since 2002. In addition to her work as a choreographer and dance instructor, Gina is an exercise instructor for Pilates, yoga, and dance. Gina directed the Dance Showcase for Rec & Ed last Fall. |
Maurice Archer brings high energy and enthusiasm to all of his classes. His popularity crosses over all age groups. He has performed at a variety of events and functions, including the 4th of July Parade, Top of the Park, the Ann Arbor Art Fair, EMU, and many more.
A True Story My son’s Asher and one other ten year old boy, along with a slew of older teenagers and young adults, rocked the floor behind their instructor, Maurice. They were precise when they were supposed to work together. They were energized when they were free styling. They were completely within themselves. The owned their experience. They were having FUN. It was awesome... in every sense of the word. With Maurice teaching, my son learned how to express himself and to feel the music run through his core.
