 Held at the Ann Arbor Preschool & Family Center. This informational presentation is for all preschool families that have children going on to Kindergarten in the fall of this year. The presentation will be on Wednesday February 8th from 6:00-8:00.

School is in session for Preschool on February 15th. There is an error on the Preschool calendar that was sent out at the beginning of the school year stating that Preschool was not in session on the 15th. We apologize for any inconveinence.

Kindergarten Round-Up

The Kindergarten Round-Up schedule is now avaialable.

For most families your child's home school is determined by your address. You are welcome to attend any other Kindergarten Round-Up if you would like.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Ann Arbor Preschool and Family Center seeks to prepare children for future success by providing comprehensive quality early childhood education programs to the families served by the Ann Arbor Public School District.

The commitment of the Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) to its youngest learners is reflected in the programs offered by the AAPFC. These programs address:

 

  • A range of preschool and kindergarten choices responding to the community’s call for multiple options
  • Developmentally appropriate enrichment options
  • Free preschool programs for children who are at-risk, from low-income families, or have special needs
  • Expanded programming which includes tuition-based options focusing on early childhood exploration and developmentally appropriate inquiry
  • A commitment to an inclusive and diverse student/family population
  • A responsibility to adhere to hiring practices that reflects the diversity of our student/family population

Early Intervention,

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE),

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP),

Head Start,

Tuition-Based,

Community Special Education Services, and
