Introductory Visit with your Parent Educator All families have a parent educator as an additional resource when they join First Steps. What is a parent educator? Parent educators are trained and certified by Parents as Teachers in the Born to Learn curriculum and they all have experience working with young children and their parents. Their focus is on development and how to share this information with you. Why should you have an introductory visit? There is always more to learn about your child's development and meeting with your parent educator is the first step. If you ever have questions about how your child is doing developmentally or what do to about temper tantrums or fussy eaters, you have a person to contact. What happens during an introductory visit?
Did you miss signing-up for an Intro and you're interested now? It's never too late. Please call 994-2300 x53186 and ask Sherri how you can meet with a parent educator. You may always ask your teacher as well. |
